Photoblog: House In The Park 8 Part 1 Grant Park Atlanta Ga 9.2.2012

It was the Sunday before Labor Day , so that meant it was time for House In The Park 8 !!!! It was a little different this year , because it was no longer held at Perkerson Park , but instead it was at Grant Park this year. Grant Park offered a few perks, centrally located , a lot more room to spread out , and more parking in the park, and 2 pavilions to dance in . I got to the park around 10:00 am , and there were people already there setting up . I heard that folks showed up by 6:00 am . While people were getting their grills and tents in order and the House In The Park crew got the sound set up , Dj Loweki provided the music for the set up process via his laptop and some speakers he had . That was real cool to come in with the sounds of cool old school and classic Hip Hop til about 12:00pm. Then at 12:00 Dj Kemit officially started House In The Park 8 . Immeadiatley people started to run to the pavillion to get their dance on . Kemit started his set with some classic Disco and 80's club hits, before long the dance floor was starting to fill up . After Kemit, Dj Salah Ananse went on to continue the vibe and take the second leg of the day . And by the time that Salah had started the first Pavilion was packed and that might have been around 2:00. A little later Kemit came back on to give the crowd a few more tidbits of music and Dj Dock provided some support on the mic. But enough of me lets see the pics . And remember this is Part 1 !!!! enjoy
