Photoblog : UpSideDownTown "I Say It's Art" With Jose Awo and Cody ChestnuTT Hosted by The ATLArtGirls @ The W Hotel Downtown Atlanta Ga 1.30.15

Friday night I went over to The W Hotel in Downtown Atlanta to check out  Corey Bertrand's UpSideDownTown event "I Say It's Art" featuring a visual art installation by Atlanta artist Jose Awo and musical performance by Cody ChestnuTT . When I got there the place was festive , folks digging the vibe and the sounds from Dj Jeremy Avalon . The crowd was a cool eclectic mix of the Atlanta Art and Music scene so the energy was definitely good. The ATLArtGirls who were the hosts for the evening were working the room making sure that the good vibe carried on . Then Cody ChestnuTT came on and did a nice solo set and in the middle of his set he brought up Jose Awo to talk about his work. Jose was fresh off his successful show at Art Basel in Miami and The "I Say It's Art" Collaboration with Cody ChestnuTT was their way of showcasing some of the work that was in Miami. After the performance Dj Jeremy Avalon took the crowd on a cool musical journey to wrap up the night. I look forward to see what else Corey has in store for his UpSideDownTown events.
