On Friday Night I went to check out the Spread Love Photography Exhibit, with photographs by Shannon McCollum over at the C4 Atlanta space in Downtown Atlanta . It was photo retrospective on Dj Kemit's Spread Love party by Atlanta photographer Shannon McCollum . Shannon has documented the Atlanta music scene and events like, Spread Love , for many years . So it was cool to see his imagery of the Spread Love event. When I got there the place was packed with the supporters and patron's of Spread Love. Dj Kemit was spinning a cool ecclectic blend of records that represented the sounds you would hear at a Spread Love event . Later on in the evening Shannon McCollum gave a quick talk about his work and working with Spread Love . After the talk Dj Kemit came back on and continued the groove. But enough of me lets see the pics . enjoy
On Sunday May 19th I went to Check out Indigenous House 3 over at Piedmont Park. It was a very wet and rainy day that day, but that did not stop the music or the party. When I got to the park Ron pullman had the faithful crowd dancin up a storm . Then the performances started up , first up was local Atlanta artist Kwi B, who performed her hit song Freedom. Next was another local Atlanta artist Kayenne and she performed her latest hit Love Don't Love You Back. Then the crowd was treated with a performance from Vernessa Mitchell as she did her House anthem Higher . The crowd went crazy when sang that song. After the performances special guest Dj Teddy Douglass from the legendary Basement Boys got on the turtables to wrap up the evening . After that I ended up my night over at Sunday School over at The Sound Table with Salah Ananse and his special guest Dj Naheem Johnson. When I got there I chilled to the grooves that Naheem was playing and at the end of a extended night Salah cae on to wrap things up. But enough of me talking , lets see the pics . Enjoy
