Photoblog : The Gathering with Rich Medina @ The Music Room Atlanta GA 8.1.15

Well it's been a minute since I posted, and it's been a minute since I've been out. Not because there hasn't been quality events but due to work . So I had a rare Saturday night off and I went over to the Music Room to check out the Gathering  with Kai Alce and Ramon Rawsoul and special guest Rich Medina . I got there late around 1:00 , it took forever to find a parking spot, And Rich was on and in his groove. The energy of room was intense and it was good to be out hearing some good music and dancing and hanging out with good people, which was good for my soul . After Rich wrapped up his set Ramon came on to close out the night. This was a good vibe and a great way to start off August . But enough from me lets see the pics . enjoy

Photoblog: Spread Love Felabration With Rich Medina 595 North Ave Atlanta Ga October 20 2012

This past Saturday night I went to Spread Love over at 595 North Ave . Being that this is the month of October . That means that it was Felabration !!!!! Felabration is the annual tribute party to the music and life of Fela . I got there early and there was small crowd already dancing and getting in the spirit. Dj Kemit was getting the vibe of the room ready . Now this was the first year that both rooms were open for this Spread Love, so on the other side there was a whole other set of dj's . Dj Cazembe M. Abena was starting things off in the other room with his Afro inspired selections. Back in the main room, Dj Kemit had the room rocking, also Kyng Maat was providing the live percussion , and Mark Hines was providing video montage. Also the live art provided by Goldi Gold and C. Flux . I went back to the other room and Dj Chris Nicholson was on and keeping the vibe going. Back in the main room Dj Rich Medina came on with his selections of jams from the diaspora . We were then treated with a performance from the Geurilla Dance Project , while the other room was enjoying the sounds from Dj Mike Zarin . Then Rich Medina came back on and to finish the musical journey that he had started , and the packed house enjoyed . At the end Dj Kemit came back on to close out the night with a deep house set , and on the other side Dj Ausar closed out the night. It was a very fun and memorable night.
