Photoblog: Adult Skate with Kai Alce Cullen Cole & Dj Kemit @ MJQ Concourse Atlanta GA 1.17.2016

This past Sunday was MLK weekend here in Atlanta. There was a lot of activities and events on MLK weekend especially in the underground House scene . Marco "Blue" Johnson had his Disco Party with Chicago Legend Gene Hunt at 595 North Ave on Saturday night . Then there was King Britt over at the Music Room the same night . Also on Saturday night  long time Atlanta music supporter Tammy Harper had her birthday party / jam session , as well as long time House supporter and International Party Man Rodney Williams  had his birthday party also . And Sunday was just as busy with Carlos Mena over at The Opus Lounge . The Return to Paradise , The Paradise Garage tribute party with Dj Dock and Ron Pullman over at the Eagle and Adult Skate with Kai , Cullen and Kemit at MJQ.  So I had a lot of choices but unfortunately I was only able to  do two, Rodney's birthday and Adult Skate . After Work on Sunday night I went over to MJQ for Adult Skate , and when I got there Dj Kemit was in his groove and the crowd was feeling it .one of my highlights is when Kemit went into his 45 set which was nice. I did get there a little late so I missed Kai's set, but at the end of the evening Cullen came on to wrap up the night with his all vinyl set. I will say this one reason that I do enjoy Adult Skate is that I always run into old friends that I haven't seen in a while, and it's always good to check on  your folks. But I had a great time and I really wanted to go to all of the events the past weekend , but  I'm glad I kept it at two events because I felt it the next morning . .
